Job Title:Coverholder Audit Officer
Description:Coverholder Audit Officer - Colchester, Essex Overall Purpose of the job: This is a role requiring an independent professional with relevant experience. As part of the Agency team based in Colchester, the role will encompass: Reviewing and implementing an audit strategy for all binding authorities. Reviewing audit reports produced for Global Markets by external audit companies operating overseas. Managing the relationship and costs involved in external auditor appointment. Carrying out audits of UK coverholders for UK Retail, producing reports for underwriters and ensuring that coverholders carry out report recommendations. Administrative support will be provided from other Agency team members. Principle duties and responsibilities: To ensure that all binding authorities are properly managed by coverholders so that the risk presented by delegation of our underwriting and claims settling functions is minimised. To work effectively within the Agency team and with other areas of the business. To apply a firm but helpful and commercial approach to our coverholders – working with coverholders and underwriters to improve performance. Qualifications,Skills, Experience and personal requirements Experience of either Delegated Underwriting or Audit work. Compliance knowledge. Good communicator. Commercial awareness. Ability to use initiative and make business decisions. Report-writing skills. Knowledge of Lloyd’s market and regulations preferred. Knowledge of the overseas market a bonus.
Salary Range:£10000 - £30000/annum
