Job Title:Payroll / Wages Clerk
Description:Payroll / Wages Clerk - Basildon, Essex Our client, an established organisation in Basildon, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Payroll / Wages Administrator. Key duties will include the production of monthly payroll for around 600 employees, working to strict deadlines. Other functions will be to process P45, P46 and P9 forms, deal with starters and leavers, input holiday forms, and deal with general queries and employees as necessary. To apply for this position, you must have working knowledge of current payroll legislation, of tax and National Insurance, and the ability to explain the various payroll concepts. Applicants must be able to calculate payments, make manual calculations and resolve issues as they arise, as well as displaying the ability to work SSP, SPP and SMP. You will be able to work under pressure when necessary, and will have good knowledge of Word and Excel to produce spreadsheets at the end of each month.
