NRSWA Manager required to work on an interim basis for a South London Borough.
Contract is initially 3 months although the client has expressed a high probability that this will be extended.
You must have worked in a similar capacity.
NEW ROADS and STREETWORKS MANAGER
Must have experience in the following: -
A detailed knowledge of the NRASWA Act 1991 and associated Codes of Practice. A knowledge of the Traffic Management Act 2005, permitting regulations and the duties that fall to Highway Authorities.
A detailed knowledge and experience of notifications under the NRASWA 1991 street works registration and Traffic Management Act 2004 (notification of schemes and works to TfL for the Strategic Road Network).
Ability to represent the Council at NRASWA quarterly liaison meetings.
Representing organisations at meetings with third parties who wish to undertake works on the public highway. A good working knowledge of Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual and the process of introducing temporary traffic orders.
To assist the Principal Engineer and Roads and Network Co Ordinator in the successful co-ordination of all works on the highway.
Ability to develop proposals and programme of activities to bring the Network Management duty together into a Traffic Management Plan for the Council
Ability to lead and motivate a small team of Inspectors and Administrators
To have experience of the financial street works regulation, account management and debt recovery.
Be familiar with and use office technology, Excel, Word, Project, Access etc. Use of Confirm system desirable.
Must have their own car available for use or able to drive in UK
