Job Title:Independent Mortgage Adviser
Description:Independent Mortgage Adviser - Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan Job title: Independent Mortgage Adviser Status: Full-time Basic Salary: 18,000 - 20,000 per annum (OTE 60,000) Bonus: Discretionary bonus based on Personal & Company performance Commission: Paid quarterly in arrears based on; Hours Mon - Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm as required, and work a minimum of approximately 40 hours a week Days of work: Monday - Friday Holidays: 20 days excluding Bank holidays Will also be paid for Bank holidays Overall purpose of the job: To provide independent mortgage and insurance advice to new and existing clients assisting in the generation of revenue for the company and to provide additional personal support to MD when required. You will be responsible for advising in all mortgage and protection areas covering life & critical illness, accident Sickness & redundancy and buildings & contents. Key responsibilities for this job: Meet clients at the office or at the client's home/work as required whilst always portraying the companies professional image. Carry out financial reviews Analyse research and identify the appropriate products to meet client's needs. Preparing fully compliant recommendations in line with the current regulations in addition to fully explaining full contract details to clients to facilitate informed choices whilst avoiding jargon and technical terms. Meet targets associated with revenue, compliance, file quality and customer feedback. Maintain comprehensive contact with clients during all transactions. Conduct regular client reviews. Keep up date with all new changes to products, legislation, market changes, regulation etc Undertake all appropriate exams as necessary whilst also maintaining an up to date CPD file. Adhere to all FSA regulations and principles, data protection, money laundering, CCL etc. Expect to work hours so as to meet the needs of the business and client expectations, which may include evenings or weekends. To plan work loads, deadlines, projects and priorities so as to maximise the efficiency and profitability of the business. Liaise with and maintain good professional relationships with all other staff, clients, associates, professional connections etc. To provide support in the day-to-day running of the business. Assist personally with the tasks required to maintain smooth operation of the business. To provide a professional and courteous service to clients and companies at all times. To support the business needs on an ongoing basis. Provide additional support to MD on all aspects of business needs when required. To develop your personal skills in line with the changing market place and demands of the business. To ensure processes and databases are continually updated and reviewed to meet the needs of the business and efficiency. To negotiate successful conclusions to problems encountered on cases on behalf of the business and continually review company contracts and agreements. To deal with the majority of telephone calls and queries in a proactive and self-sufficient manner. Maintaining an accurate appointments diary involving contacting new clients dealing with referrals and existing clients. Managing and dealing with all aspects of the business submission process from the completion of documentation, construction of client reports, submission to companies, ensuring compliance requirements are always adhered to. Liaising with all company contacts including insurers, lenders, solicitors, estate agents etc. Knowledge and experience required: As an Independent Mortgage Adviser, you will be required to hold FPC 1, 2 & 3 as a minimum (or equivalent) in addition to MAQ or CEMAP Bridge and have the ability to demonstrate your Competency in the associated product areas. Experience in using The Exchange, Mortgage 2000 (or equivalent), Aequos/Engage. In-depth knowledge of the operating processes of an Independent Financial advisers, Computer literacy, Database experience, Customer facing experience, Attention to detail, The ability to work on own initiative, Good interpersonal skills, Good Telephone manner, a strong compliance approach. Question Previous Experience of mortgage and Insurance Advice Essential? have full knowledge and dealings with FSA regulations? You must be qualified to FPC 1, 2 & 3 as a minimum or equivalent in addition to MAQ? Be flexible on the day to day work loads? Assist the MD in other areas of the Business?
