Part Qualified Accountant / Financial Controller - Dorset £23,000 - £25,000
Our client is a leading and fastest growing Insurance Broker in Dorset. They URGENTLY require a part qualified accountant/financial controller to join their team
Day to day control of the finance function with responsibility for accounts, reports and regulatory returns, provision of business analysis, control of systems and processes and where necessary, developing the function.
Responsible for financial analysis, financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting as well as creation and maintenance of control systems.
Using Sage MMS review processes and procedures and develop and implement more efficient working practices.
The preparation of divisional management accounts, analysis of results, production of monthly reports, year end accounts and ad hoc finance based projects.
Monthly review of insurer accounts; review data received and identify unusual balances or movements.
Involvement in all aspects of management accounts from reconciliations, trading accounts, month end journals, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet and P&L.
To implement payroll software and process monthly, P11D`s, P35`s, P14/P16`s etc. Ensure accurate records are maintained and inland revenue PAYE and associated returns are paid, once onboard.
To proactively manage credit control and bad debt and to develop and maintain appropriate processes and procedures to minimise non payment. Process any legal action against debtors.
Maintain a close working relationship with the company`s external accountancy consultants plus dealing with external insurers, customers, sub brokers and suppliers.
Ensure effective work planning and team development to assist in achieving set targets.
Hours Monday to Friday only 8.30am - 5pm
