Job Title:Cash Allocation Team Member
Description:Cash Allocation Team Member - Glasgow, Central Scotland Based at their office in Glasgow, our client is the UK subsidiary of a global, £multi-billion dairy company with a world class portfolio of products, which has 2 manufacturing sites in the UK, as well as a UK Head Office based in New Malden. They have recently increased the size of their Finance team due to major growth within their UK business, and are looking to recruit a high-calibre Cash Allocation individual with experience of working in a busy Credit Control environment. The role will report directly to the Senior Credit Controller, & will take responsibility for: • Allocating incoming receipts in accordance with targets. • Maintaining daily spreadsheets for payments received. • Maintaining promised payment sheet, paying in book , bank statements, unallocated cash, promised payment sheet, remittance advice details, penny write offs remittance advice folder etc . • Banking of incoming cheques via lodgement book. • Ensuring cheques are lodged at the bank daily. • Working closely with credit control team ensuring all payments are allocated with remittance advice details correctly. • Updating daily receipt banking spreadsheets, & allocating all cheques, Bacs and T/T payments to customer accounts. • Processing of journals to transfer split payments between customers. This is a challenging role within a large business and will require someone with good organisational skills and the ability to work on their own initiative accurately and effectively. The ideal individual is likely to come from a similar role within a manufacturing business, & will be confident at liaising with people at all levels. Salary Range:£14000 - £16000/annum c£16,000
