Job Title:Assistant Accountant
Description:Assistant Accountant - West Midlands, West Midlands To support the activities of the Finance Department enabling it to meets it's objective of providing timely and accurate information to the business; main duties will be to assist the accounts receivable administrator with distribution of invoices, raising sales invoices and paperwork to cover dispatches, cash allocation (cover basis), running month end routines (cover basis), collation of documentation and filing responsibilities. Other duties to include, Cash book management and reconciliation for Euro bank account, nominal ledger analysis and summarising as required but to specifically include fixed asset register, preparation/submission of government statistics, creation and entry of journals into the accounts software, Data analysis and spreadsheet reporting (including pivot tables and/or Look up tables), Providing holiday cover for purchase ledger administrator. This position is initially to cover maternity leave of 6 months however this may extend or even become permanent. You will need to be studying towards an accountancy qualification. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop within a reputable company.
Salary Range:18000 - 19000/annum pensions
