Job Title:Operational Payments Manager
Description:Operational Payments Manager - Reading, Berkshire Title: Operational Payments Manager Salary: 23- 30K + Up to 20% bonus A leading financial services company based in Reading are seeking an Operational Payments Manager to manage all operations payments activity in line with internal and external service level agreements. This would be a fantastic opportunity for a candidate already working in a banking environment, possibly branch based to join a growing head office environment. The role: *Agreeing & communicating external and internal SLAs *Delivering payments services to agreed SLA's *Understanding and acting upon customer feedback (both internal & external) *Building strong relationships with relevant business functions *Managing complaint handling including escalated complaints *Taking ownership and managing all processes within Payments *Ensuring processes are fully defined and documented , reviewed and updated *Promoting continuous improvement with an emphasis on productivity and efficiency *Holding an active role in change projects *Performing all relevant people management duties including recruitment ,absence management *Directing, coaching, monitoring and motivating the team *Monitoring management information for trend analysis *Identifying all operational risks and mitigating factors in line with the company's risk policy *Any other related duties as requested We are looking for: The successful applicant will be educated to degree level, have previous experience of management in the UK based banking environment in basic accounting or settlement/reconciliation functions and have experience of managing, developing and motivating teams. You will possess knowledge of Microsoft Office to an intermediate level, have a good knowledge of workflow management systems and industry knowledge of payments standards and organisations such as CHAPS, SWIFT, VOCA, BACS and Cards. You will have excellent communication and teamwork abilities, be highly organised, have good people development skills and be highly professional in your approach.
