Description:Graduate Trainee Accountant - Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire Fantastic opportunity to develop your career within accountancy with a superb study package Trainee Accountant Henley-on-Thames £17 – 18K Basic + Full study package This is a superb opportunity to join an independent Chartered Accountants, situated within the town of Henley. The company requires an enthusiastic individual with a min of 12 months experience within an accounts role to join their busy accounts department, The main purpose of the role is to produce accounts for clients from records supplied, to create good relationships with clients both current and prospective and to provide assistance and support to the Partners’, Department Manager and other staff. Main duties Production of both year end and management accounts for clients from records supplied by the client using the internal procedures as laid down in the procedures manual To liaise with the Partner responsible for the job as and when appropriate. To be continually conscious of the client’s requirements, recommending appropriate action and discussing with the Partners as required. To carry out audits in accordance with the procedures set out in the Practice Auditing Manual with assistance and supervision as necessary. To train staff in accordance with requirements of the job and as requested by more senior staff To carry out all work in accordance with the budget agreed and approved beforehand, notifying the relevant person (a Partner, unless otherwise agreed) in advance of any potential budget overruns and obtaining approval for these. To assist in the planning, supervision and review of assignments including compilation of accounts and audits as required by the Partners or Department Manager. To assist in the planning and control of workflow on a personal and departmental level. To ensure continuing personal and professional development through attendance at appropriate courses arranged and any other necessary training as discussed and agreed with the Partners. To ensure that administrative tasks such as timesheets, etc. are completed within the necessary timescales and to be aware and supportive of other members of staff and their time constraints. To be aware of all relevant procedures throughout the office as required and comply with them as necessary. Skills and Experience Part qualified in either ACCA or ACA with a minimum 12 months experience Excellent communication skills Must be confident and able to multi-task Tenacious and possessing excellent organizational skills IT literate, especially a good working knowledge of Excel Salary £17 - £18k + Excellent study package Contributory pension scheme Hours Monday – 8.45am – 5.30pm Tuesday – Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm If you are interested in this position, please attach your CV and email to Anna Maguire in the first instance.
